“Since 2000, Rex-Rotary has become a leading manufacturer in the Light Production market, a market in which we have acquired a solid reputation for our high-volume solutions,” says Gerard de Pender, Senior Product Manager at Ricoh Europe’s Professional Products Group. “With the launch of the Pro™ line we bring new in-line finishing solutions to the production printing market and prove our commitment to the needs of digital printing professionals. The Pro™906EX, 1106EX and 1356EX couple top image quality, ease of use and great productivity with the widest choice of in-line finishing options available. As such, they offer complete and speedy solutions to complex jobs.”
The heavy-duty Pro™906EX, 1106EX and 1356EX attain print speeds of 90, 110 and 135 pages per minute (ppm) respectively. This adds up to 1, 1.5 and 2 million prints per month, productivity rates that make the machines eminently suited for peak periods. Their duplex output is produced at simplex speeds, and their colour scanners take in 80 originals per minute. Two devices can be connected to reach an impressive 270 ppm. With up to 9 paper stations, all with SRA3 capability, the machines’ maximum capacity is 8,500 sheets. Meanwhile the monochrome output quality is highly accurate at 1,200 x 1,200 dpi due to 2 x 4-beam laser technology.
To complete the production workflow from start to finish, Rex-Rotary offers the widest array of in-line finishing options. Fully automated and yielding professional results, they are both time-saving and cost-efficient. A robust 3,000-sheet finisher with 100-sheet stapler and Z-folder unit take care of more basic document types. Leaflets, brochures and catalogues are automatically folded and saddle-stitched by the BK5010 booklet maker. The double cover interposer allows users to add full colour or pre-printed front and back covers of up to 216 g/m² (300 g/m² via the Perfect Binder or BK5010’s interposer).
Unique in their segment is the Pro™906EX/1106EX/1356EX’s completely automatic Ring Binder, whose innovative technology significantly reduces the traditional workload. The machine punches and ring-binds books of up to 100 A4 sheets. Books of up to 200 pages with strong, glued backs are put together in a few clicks with the Perfect Binder. Cover page insertion and three-edge trimming are standard.
Versatile and all-encompassing in their solutions, the Pro™906EX, 1106EX and 1356EX are also reliable and straightforward in use. Maintenance can be performed by trained operators to ensure maximum uptime. The machines’ extensive features are accessible, even to inexperienced users, thanks to their large colour operation displays and intuitive interfaces.
The Pro™906EX, 1106EX and 1356EX are the first production devices in Rex-Rotary's new Pro™ range of professional digital production equipment.
