SP 4100NL – Reliable and highly productive black and white business printer

Rex-Rotary today announced the launch of their new monochrome A4 laser printer, the SP 4100NL. With a print speed of 31 pages per minute (ppm) and a duty cycle of 100,000 pages per month, the desktop device is highly productive. This reliable printer has the capacity to handle a variety of paper types and is straightforward to operate. An optional duplex unit completes this picture of functionality. The SP 4100NL is specifically targeted at small or home offices and small to mid-sized workgroups in larger enterprises looking for a device with low initial hardware cost and a competitive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

“With the SP 4100NL we wish to strengthen our black and white product line-up by introducing a competitive printer that boasts more interesting specifications at a lower price,” says Chi Chung Man, Product Manager at Ricoh Europe. “This new model is specifically targeted at IT distributors and IT managers. It offers a high speed for its class, excellent paper handling capacities and standard networking, making it an ideal, reliable business printer. Following in the footsteps of the SP C220N/SP C221N/SP C222DN, this new printer truly allows Rex-Rotary to expand in the IT area. ”

The SP 4100NL is guaranteed to be productive and economical by virtue of its powerful 400 MHz CPU processor. Its first print speed is less than 6.9 seconds, and it automatically switches into energy saver mode when not in use. In that mode, the machine’s power consumption is reduced to less than 6.5 W for the main unit and less than 12.5 W for the full option. The design is as such both environmentally conscious and cost-efficient.

Especially useful in an office setting is the SP 4100NL’s versatile paper handling. All printing, with a maximum input of 1,600 sheets, is fast and dependable thanks to an intelligent paper pass. Standard and optional trays deal with various document sizes and weights up to 130 g/m². The bypass tray accepts input of up to 162 g/m². Thick paper, recycled paper, or transparencies present no challenge. A unique dedicated envelope mode ensures smooth handling of envelopes and prevents wrinkling.

The SP 4100NL comes with a set of security measures to protect confidential data. It offers several types of encryption as well as unauthorised copy control and a data overwrite function. The redesigned SmartDeviceMonitor and DesktopBinder give users extensive job management control.

A number of smart utilities make the SP 4100NL exceedingly easy to use. Machine status is immediately obvious from the newly designed operational LCD panel. Once an option has been installed, the printer driver detects it automatically and remembers it. Custom paper settings can be programmed and named, and a number of job types like sample print, store print and store & print are readily accessible. The machine’s Web Image Monitor also sends e-mail alerts when the device needs servicing.

The SP 4100NL is the latest addition to Rex-Rotary's advanced range of digital office equipment. Rex-Rotary currently manufactures one of the world’s most extensive line ups of printers, copiers, scanners, faxes and multifunctional devices, as well as advanced software solutions.
