Rex-Rotary Extends its GelSprinter™ Line-up with Fast and Cost-efficient Colour Printers and Multifunctional Devices

Rex-Rotary today announced the launch of five new devices that feature the pioneering GelSprinter™ technology. The GX 2500 is ideal for personal offices and small workgroups looking for an affordable business colour printer. The full-featured GX 3000s/GX 3000SF/GX 3050SFN suit small workgroups in need of desktop multifunctionality. Workgroups with a special demand for A3 printing best opt for the GX 7000. All devices enable users to produce vibrant colour output fast and with ease. Cost conscious offices benefit greatly. Colour prints are now just as affordable as black and white with Level Color™mode. As true door openers to new channels, these GelSprinter™ devices prove that Rex-Rotary is committed to having a significant presence across the complete printer and MFP market.

Linda van der Graaf, Product Manager at Rex-Rotary elaborates on the benefits of the GelSprinter™ devices: “With colour becoming a necessity as a result of the shift from black and white to colour, many offices are looking to control and reduce printing costs. GelSprinter™ facilitates this objective through Level Color™mode. Colour prints can now be produced at virtually the same cost as black and white. This is of particular interest to small workgroups in which the upfront cost of colour laser devices is often too high. These new printers and multifunctional devices guarantee high business quality at high speed, yet at low cost. At this price/performance level we expect these GelSprinter™ devices to open up a variety of new channels.”

By utilising Liquid Gel™ rather than traditional toner or ink, the new GelSprinter™ range produces crisp, waterproof and sunlight resistant output. Key benefit of the Liquid Gel™ is that it dries instantly when hitting the paper. Speeds are up to 28/29 pages per minute for both colour and black and white. Combined with a quick warm-up time of less than 35 seconds and fast first output speeds, high speed document production is ensured.

Using the special Level Color™mode - the cost per page of colour prints is similar to black and white prints. This feature distinguishes texts from images and graphics. While texts are printed at normal thickness, up to 50% is saved on colours for images and graphics within the same document. As opposed to so-called ‘Draft’ modes currently in the market, the Level Color™mode ensures perfectly crisp and sharp black texts at all times.

The output resolution can be as high as 1,200 dpi. As the ink cartridges are individually replaceable, the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is further reduced. The output volume can be monitored with the practical counter functionality. Other TCO saving measures include the ability to use normal or recycled paper, low power consumption. The GX 3000 series and the GX 7000 also feature standard automatic duplexing.

Next to productivity and cost efficiency, emphasis has been put on ease of use. Installation is simple and operation is straightforward. Due to the full-front operation, paper can be easily replenished and cartridges can be replaced in seconds. Furthermore, specific print settings can be saved and retrieved by selecting a single icon using the user-friendly RPCS™ printer driver.

While the GX 2500 and GX 7000 let users benefit from fast on-demand colour printing, the GX 3000 series are all-round multitaskers. The basic GX 3000S offers copy, print and scan functionalities. The GX 3000SF is also equipped with a standard fax, while the GX 3050SFN adds networkability to the package. These three multifunctional devices come with advanced technologies to strengthen their usability. Functions like ‘scan to FTP’ or ‘scan to e-mail’ enable fast image capture and storage. To reduce paper costs, faxes can be sent via Internet or directly from the user’s PC. Plus, all three models come with advanced network capabilities to meet new user needs.

The GX 3000s/GX 3000SF/GX 3050SFN, GX 7000 and GX 2500 are the latest additions to Rex-Rotary's GelSprinter™ range.  Rex-Rotary currently manufactures one of the world's most extensive line-ups of copiers, printers, scanners, faxes and multifunctional devices, as well as advanced software solutions.
