DX 3240/DX 3440 – High Speed, Low Cost Printing Solutions for Educational, Non-profit and Governmental Organisations

Rex-Rotary today announced the launch of its upgraded copyprinters, the DX 3240/DX 3440. These high-speed printers combine an attractive low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) with the ability to handle paper up to A3 size, in a user-friendly solution. They are specifically targeted at educational, non-profit and governmental organisations. Five different image modes and a fine 300 x 400 dpi resolution ensure high-quality and professional output.

“The A4 predecessor models of the DX 3240 and DX 3440 were extremely popular with our customers. Having listened to their feedback, we knew there was a need for an additional solution that would offer the same affordability whilst handling A3-sized paper,” explains Svetlana Lalic, Product Manager at Ricoh Europe’s Marketing Group. “The updated DX 3240 and DX 3440 fulfil this demand, while also offering a number of enhanced features that are certain to make them true winners for our customers.”

In the markets where copyprinters are increasingly being replaced by black and white copiers and printers, Rex-Rotary offers the DX 3240/DX 3440 as productive alternatives with a low TCO and cost per page. Economy Mode increases the number of pages from each ink cartridge and the when higher volumes of copies are made from one original, the cost per print is reduced. Further cost savings are available with the user code feature. Users stay in control of their organisation’s print output by monitoring the usage per department. Other assets are colour capabilities and computer connectivity, with the optional VC-20 Printer Controller.

The DX 3240/DX 3440 also rival the competition with their A3-size book scanner, allowing the user to scan two A4 sides at once and saving valuable time. High-quality documents such as newsletters, handouts, leaflets and forms are created quickly and efficiently. The machines’ 300 x 400 dpi fine mode reproduces slanting lines and small characters sharply and clearly. The new pencil mode optimises the density of pencilled images and writings.

Responding to new market requests, Rex-Rotary has broadened the language diversity of the operation instructions and the LCD to include Turkish and Russian. The LCD also shows possible jam locations by means of an image on the display. Another user-friendly feature is the Auto Centre/Edge Erase mode, which automatically corrects the binding margin and dark edges that may appear on a print when scanning from a book.

The enhanced DX 3240/DX 3440 are the latest additions to Rex-Rotary's copyprinter selection. Rex-Rotary currently manufactures one of the world's most extensive line ups of copiers, printers, scanners, faxes and multifunctional devices, as well as advanced software solutions.
